This is what you create with all those pieces and parts leftover from other projects. But this is not a piece of scrap. It is actually a beautiful end grain board made of walnut, maple, cherry and some ash.
The piece measures 11.75 x 10 x 1.5 in. It is all end grain and finished with food grade mineral oil.
It would make any chef proud (and happy) to be on their counter or in their food prep area. As a centerpiece you will be sure to get many comments.
Why end grain? End grain boards are the most forgiving on knives and protecting the edge. They are easy to maintain and show fewer knife marks.
Maintaining the board is as simple as wiping it down after use using water, letting it dry and refinishing with mineral oil periodically. (Full instructions included)
