How big am I?

Approximately 16 1/2 x 11 x 1 inches. The perfect size for serving a meal, appetizers or as a centerpiece to your table.

How do you care for me?

Let me count the ways. Made from walnut and maple and finished with at least three coats of food grade mineral oil. With loving care (please do not put me in the sink or dishwasher) I will last many lifetimes. (Two of my cousins just got a facelift after forty years and they look like new. True story. Pictures available.) Wipe me clean after use and apply oil every month or so and I will look like the day I became a part of the family. Hot pans may leave a burn mark if set directly on me.

How am I made?

I started as a part of that big tree in the woods and after many years of standing alone and in the cold, I became a part of the Catoctin Woodwork family. They selected me over many others, treated me with respect, did some cutting, gluing, routing, sanding and finishing and here I am. Make me a part of your home. You will not be disappointed.
